Learn how to quantitate a cellular protein sample with BCA protein assay kits on the SpectraMax® iD5 Multi-Mode Microplate Reader from Molecular Devices.
The Small Molecule Screening Facility (SMSF) at the University of Wisconsin Madison is a comprehensive high-throughput screening (HTS) centre where researchers have investigated antibiotic-resistant bacterial infections and screening for protein-protein interactions using HTS methods.
Contract Research Organisations rely on microplate readers for effective hit discovery. Ian Waddell, of Charles River Laboratories, explains what his needs are.
This technical note demonstrates the feasibility of using the Thermo Scientific™Fluoroskan™ or Fluoroskan FL instruments with the Invitrogen™ Quant-iT™ dsDNAhigh-sensitivity assays. Sensitive and specific quantification of double-stranded DNA is carried out in microplate format. This is part of a series of technical notes aiming to help customers choose the best…
Molecular Devices announced the launch of the new SoftMax® Pro 7.1 GxP Software with complete validation tools which achieves full FDA 21 CFR Part 11 compliance in GMP/GLP labs...
Laura Kilpatrick, Chloe Peach and Carl White from the University of Nottingham talk about cancer research and how they use our microplate readers PHERAstar and CLARIOstar.
This application note highlights the direct optic bottom reading performance of the BMG LABTECH microplate readers in two different cell-based fluorescence intensity assays from Invitrogen.
This application note discusses how the ADP-Glo™ Kinase assay is a universal, homogeneous, high-throughput screening method that measures kinase activity by quantifying the amount of ADP produced during the kinase reaction.

In this webinar, we presented two examples of HTS in 1536-well plates, a screen for protein-protein interactions and a cell-based luciferase reporter assay.
High throughput screening is mostly done in pharmaceutical companies that test whole libraries of compounds. Reducing the assay volume will reduce operating costs. At the same time it is necessary to prove that the smaller volume will not have a negative impact on assay sensitivity and reliability.
This webinar shines a spotlight on cell-based and biochemical high-throughput screening in 1536 well plates. Supported by BMG LABTECH, the webinar will take place on 30 October at 4:00pm (GMT).
In this application note, we show how the signal of luciferase and fluorophore were acquired simultaneously with the PHERAstar microplate reader...
In this application note we will show how a cAMP BRET biosensor can be used to monitor ligand binding with the help of the CLARIOstar microplate reader...
In this video, Becky Allsopp from Sygnature Discovery talks about Drug Discovery Research and how she uses the Microplate Reader PHERAstar FSX for their research.
